Steam Plant Motel, Spokane, WA

We left Poulsbo late in the morning—weak battery and lost sunglasses, but we sorted everything out.—and made the Kingston Ferry, old pros now.

Back on the ferry ;to (Edmunds)

A local motorcyclist led us out of Edmunds through the town, and up I-5, where we got on route 2 east. slow going. Really slow going.

Leavenworth, the Bavarian Village was hysterical. The Cashmere Valley was scalding, but then we climbed up and out to Waterville and 150 miles of high plains farmlands through spirited little towns and hops fields. Fantastic. We thundered along at 80mph.

We found a motel in downtown Spokane and the place is fantastic, an up and coming city. There are a number of bars and restaurants, one is in an old steam plant. when we got back to our motel, Steamboat Willie was playing on the wall.
